  Really lifted its game since I was last there a few years ago. Completely remodelled the whole place. The dining area is much nicer and the food is great. Even the staff seem friendlier and more helpful. I had the USA platter and everything on it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Well worth a visit.

  Recent renos look great. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great pub food and big meals. Requested mash instead of chips but was told it couldn't be done...? Still, would go back for a good feed!

  Had a lovely staff lunch in the conference room. More than enough mains however dessert was quite light on. Staff were great.

  We have been going to the Hallam for years and we were getting bored with the menu recently but they were doing major renovations so we thought we would try the new bistro last night. Looks great but I don't there for that I go there for good food and unfortunately the new menu is the same as the last time we went. BORING, not enough variety, no oysters, only one fish dish or salmon but that was on the seniors menu, no prawns, I found the steak selection quite expensive. I remember not that long ago the menu was quite comprehensive. We won't be going back again as most of the food I would have to choose is something I can cook at home. Sorry very disappointed. M.
